The Government of the Republic of Croatia decided to promptly finance reparation of buildings damaged in the earthquake
Now the ball is in the court of the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund.
The Government of the Republic of Croatia reached a decision on 07 May 2020 upon which it ensured monetary aid for the temporary repair of buildings in the City of Zagreb, Zagreb County and Krapinsko-zagorska County, that were damaged in the earthquake occurred on 22 March 2020. Monetary aid shall be used to reimburse the owners of the damaged buildings with the eligible costs up to the amount of HRK 12,000.00 per a separate part of the building or a family house without separate parts for the following repairs: necessary temporary protection of a building from weathering and removal/support of dangerous parts of the building that could have i.e. still could jeopardize people’s life or health, repair or replacement of chimneys, repair or replacement of gable walls and repair of elevators, while up to the amount of HRK 8,000.00 for subvention of 80% of the eligible costs of purchase price for the condensing boilers which shall replace the existing, non-condensing boilers.
Implementation of this measure is entrusted to the Ministry of construction and Physical Planning and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund that is to announce the public call for awarding financial means for subvention of the purchase of condensing boilers by the end of June.
